Friends and supporters of The Daily Texan, student newspaper at the University of Texas-Austin, will gather Oct. 4 for the annual Hall of Fame dinner, sponsored by Friends of The Daily Texan, Inc.

In addition to honoring new inductees into The Daily Texan Hall of Fame, scholarship grants will be awarded to Daily Texan staffers.

The FOTDT in 2018 established an endowment for annual scholarships, and presented awards to three students last year. A total of at least 4 scholarships will be announced at the 2019 dinner.

The dinner will be held in the Shirley Bird Perry Ballroom of The Texas Union, on the UT campus. More info on the evening will come soon, along with registration info.

The awards are sponsored annually by the Friends of The Daily Texan, a nonprofit group established in 2013 to support journalistic quality and a strong future in a digital world for The Daily Texan, student newspaper at the University of Texas at Austin.
