From the School of Journalism and Media, University of Texas at Austin
Over the past 60-plus years, Griff Singer has been a printer, a reporter, editor, teacher and newspaper consultant. And even though he technically retired in 2003 after 34 years of working, he’s stayed quite busy in journalism.
Today, he remains very involved in many areas supporting student journalists, including as an active member of the board of directors of Friends of The Daily Texan, Inc.
Let us celebrate as Griff Singer has been announced by The Texas Association of Journalism Educators as the most recent recipient of TAJE’s Friend of Journalism Award.

Griff will receive his award this fall at the TAJE statewide convention, one of the largest gatherings of scholastic journalism students in the nation.
