Friends and colleagues,
Below is a note from Mark Singer, son of Griff Singer, about Griff’s very severe medical condition.
Mark and his sister Cathy Becker request our prayers, and I’d suggest we also pray for Mark and Cathy and their families.
I will keep you posted as I hear more news on his condition.
Griff means so much to every one of us, and we all hope and pray for the best. – John Reetz

John:
We are saddened to report that our father is in a life-threatening condition, which has developed over an extremely short period of time.
After suffering sinus-like symptoms, including severe shortness of breath, he was transported to the emergency room and immediately admitted to Seton Hospital on January 24. A battery of tests over several days concluded in the discovery of a fast-growing, malignant lymphoma that was constricting air flow to both lungs. This limitation also resulted in the development of pneumonia and a staph infection. He has since been quarantined. Opting not to wait, however, his doctors started chemotherapy today.
We promise to keep you posted on his evolving situation. In the meantime, we ask for your prayers for this 93-year-old loyal Longhorn. Please feel free to share this information with others who are part of our father’s vast and amazing network of friends, and former students and colleagues.
